Registration to the Examinations

Basic modules:

Registration period will be announced on time!

  1. Register PERSONALLY by presenting your TUD student registration card (Studentenausweis) to the CL-Secretary (room 2005/2006).
  2. Cancelation of your registration to the exam is possible 3 days in advance at the very latest. Therefore please contact the Examination Office giving your Matrikelnr. and the title of the missed examination.
  3. In case of illness, present a sickness certificate and a note showing your Matrikelnr. and the title of the missed examination to the Examination Office or the CL-Secretary.
  4. Results are available in the jExam system of the Computer Science Department. The login is equal with the one from ZIH.

Advanced modules:

Oral Course Examinations

  1. Contact the examiner and agree an appointment for the examination.
  2. Make sure the examiner informs the Examination Office about the examination date.
  3. Before going to the examination, get the examination form from the Examination Office.
  4. In case you want to cancel the examination, please do this 14 days in advance.

Module Examinations

  1. Complete the registration form for advanced modules available from the Examination Office.
  2. Take all certificates and your Degree Transcript (valid for students who started before 2006) for cross-checking.
  3. Contact the examiner in charge for the advanced modules with the certificates and have him/her signed the form.

Master Thesis:

Before starting to write the thesis

  1. Select an advisor.
  2. Fill in the form Master Thesis Application.
  3. Start checking, if you have all official proofs for courses, modules and projects you have done. Contact the professor/university in charge, in case some are missing.
  4. Fill in the registration form for diploma thesis available from the Examination Office and hand out the documents you were asked to collect in step 3.

After completion of the thesis

  1. After completion of your thesis, fix a date for the defense with your advisor.
  2. Take two copies to the Examination Office and inform them of the date of your defense.
  3. Send an e-mail to the professor (CC to CL-Secretary) and ask the professor to announce your defense through the automatical system. The e-mail should inform of the date, time, venue, title and abstract of your thesis.
  4. Have yourself exmatriculated with the International Office (AAA).
