Sarah Alice Gaggl graduated first as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medicine and Computer Science. In 2009 she finished her master studies of Computational Intelligence (MSc) at the Vienna University of Technology. Afterwards she worked as a research assistant at the Database and Artificial Intelligence Group of the Institute of Information Systems at the Vienna University of Technology. There she was involved in the project "New Methods for Analyzing, Comparing, and Solving Argumentation Problems" under the supervision of Stefan Woltran. In March 2013 she defended her PhD thesis "A Comprehensive Analysis of the cf2 Argumentation Semantics: From Characterization to Implementation". In April 2013 she joined the Computational Logic Group of Prof. Sebastian Rudolph at the Technische Universität Dresden.

Her research interests are located within the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Logic, Abstract Argumentation and Answer-Set Programming (ASP).
