In the course students are introduced into reading scientific papers, writing scientific articles, preparing and giving scientific talks, developing research plans, setting up research proposals, etc. These and related topics are discussed with the help of concrete examples taken from the current research issues addressed in the Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Group such as Planning and Concurrency, Reasoning and Acting under Uncertainty, Computational Logic and Connectionist Systems as well as Cognitive Robotics.
